Top Trends to Look Out For in 2021 at Hertford Hair Salon in Hertford
Well, we may not have the start to 2021 that we’d all been hoping for, but Lockdown is actually the perfect opportunity to start planning a fresh new look for when we re-open our Hertford hair salon!
At Hertford Hair all our stylists are highly trained and up-to-date with the very latest hair trends. We’re proud to offer Redken hair colours and would be happy to advise you on a flattering and wearable new look.
Here are some of our favourite ideas for inspiration...
Short hair is a fashionable trend we first saw emerging in 2020, with many clients getting rid their over-grow lockdown locks for a short chic pixie style.
A pixie cut can be incredibly versatile too - You may indulge in slicked back or tousled hair, short pixie hairstyles for curly hair, asymmetrical vintage ‘dos or even a funky "fauxhawk" style. Short and long pixie haircuts with a fringe are currently very popular.
This trend looks set to continue into 2021 as more women embrace shorter, easier to manage hairdos. Are you ready to take the plunge this year and go for a gorgeous crop?
Rose Brown Hair Colours
Brunette hair can sometimes be overlooked in hair colour trends, but your choice doesn’t have to be a boring flat brown. Warm rosy shades have become a popular way to brighten up your natural brunette hair colour.
Rosy brunettes are a great alternative to the popular Rose Gold usually reserved for blondes.
Textured Bobs and Lobs
The short-hair trend for 2021 means that the Blunt Bob is also set to be a high fashion look this year. It’s a perennial favourite which always looks great, but it can take quite a bit of maintenance to keep it looking smooth and sleek.
An alternative to the sleek bob is to add some texture to your hair with some layers and a wavy style. Adding texture, such as scrunching with mousse, to your look is a great idea if you have thin or fine hair too.
If you don’t want to go too short, a long bob cut to the collarbone is on-trend and incredibly flattering for all face shapes.
Nourished Natural Curls
If you’re blessed with naturally curly hair, it’s time to embrace a natural, more fuss-free look in 2021 and make the most of your hair’s natural texture.
To nourish and tame your curls, your Hertford Hair stylist can recommend professional home hair care products that hydrate your hair and give you gloriously gorgeous curls.
Two Tone Hair Colours
It can be so difficult to choose an all over colour from the magnificent array of Redken shades we have available, so why not go for a two-tone look? This fashionable look means you can go for a customised hair colour to suit your personal style – simply speak to your Hertford Hair stylist.
One popular example of two-tone colours is adding face framing highlights or a "moneypiece" as it is sometimes called. This technique involves us adding balayage hair colour with bolder highlights towards the front of your locks, framing your face.
You can add a colour that compliments your existing hair colour or make a statement with a dramatic fashion shade!
